A Successful Lemonade Stand
Will Cassidy, 8, recently held a lemonade stand to raise money for a very ill, seven-year-old boy and his family who he learned about from a friend at the First Congregational Church of Madison. After four hours, Cassidy had collected $377.40. He donated the amount to www.gofundme.com/parkerjones to help a family in need of financial assistance while their child, Parker, undergoes life-saving medical procedures. Later that night, Cassidy received an additional $60 from people who couldn’t make it out to his lemonade stand during the day. A total of $437.40 was received from friends and neighbors in the family’s Neck River Farms neighborhood, along with random passersby including many high school and college-age kids who gave all they had.
