15th Anniversary Independence Day Fireworks-Beach Party Postponed Due To Rain
The Vietnam Veterans/Town of East Haven Fireworks Committee met Saturday morning at 5 am. After reviewing every available weather forecast, the constant prediction was for significant rain BY 8-9 PM tonight. Therefore the 15Although the forecasts indicate various start times when the rain is expected in East Haven, ALL forecasts predict inclement weather and bad sea conditions at the time of the event’s national entertainment and fireworks spectacular. The committee had to take into consideration that since the fireworks are shot in open water on a barge, the “shooter” needs many hours to prep and load the barge to be able to get it into place by show time. Therefore the committee did not have the luxury of being able to wait until later in the day to make a FINAL decision. Again the Fireworks show will be the largest in the Town’s history.
