Discussion at Guilford Library Focuses on Housing
The Guilford Free Library and the Guilford Foundation present “Why So Many Towns, Like Guilford, Are Actively Thinking About Housing,” an informal conversation with David Fink, Mary Jo Kestner, and the Reverend Harrison West, on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Guilford Free Library.
Housing is a basic need for all of us: rich and poor, business and labor, young and old all believe that everyone should have a safe, secure home that they can afford. But safe, secure, and affordable homes are too often taken for granted by those of us who are satisfied with our housing situation. Demographics in Connecticut are changing and lifestyles are too. It’s time to get residents across the state to think about housing — for themselves, their children, and as an avenue to economic growth and an improved quality of life.
Join David Fink, policy director of Partnership for Strong Communities, Mary Jo Kestner of the Guilford Foundation, and the Reverend Harrison West of Guilford Interfaith Housing Corporation at the Guilford Free Library on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. for this informal presentation on Guilford’s response to this issue.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and the Guilford Foundation. It is free and open to all. Please register in person at the reference desk, online, or over the phone, 203-453-8282.
