Chester Town-Wide Tag Sale on Memorial Day Weekend
For Chester residents who want sell what they no longer need, now is the time to join in on the Town-Wide Tag Sale on Saturday, May 23. This event, now in its 25th year, brings thousands of people to Chester for a day of tag sale buying, eating, and shopping.
At the base of the Town-Wide Tag Sale is a map listing all the participating vendors. Available to shoppers for $1 from volunteers all around town (they’re easy to spot), the map allows visitors to come up with a plan of attack for the best deals.
Map listing is available to any Chester resident or business for $10. Businesses seeking greater exposure can purchase a 1 ½-inch- square advertisement.
Listing forms are available through Kris Seifert at kris.seifert@gmail.com and at Heritage Century-21 Real Estate in the town center. Deadline for inclusion in the map is Wednesday, May 20 to enable the printing of the map. Map space fills up quickly.
Proceeds from listing fees, map sales, and advertising on the map are used to promote the event throughout Connecticut. Net proceeds from this event benefit the Chester Republican Town Committee’s general fund.
The Town-Wide Tag Sale runs rain or shine. For more information, contact Seifert at kris.seifert@gmail.com, 860-526-8440, or 714-878-9658.
