• Alessandro Baglioni, a freshman majoring in intelligence and national security studies at Coastal Carolina University, was inducted into Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society.
• Kathy Conway was the winner in the photography category at the Slater Memorial Museum’s 71st annual Connecticut Artists Juried Exhibition.
• Eastern Connecticut State University Club Participants, Fall 2014: Tyler Hinde, a junior majoring in pre-secondary education, participated in the Ski-N’-Board Club; Nora Mackay, a freshman majoring in pre-social work, participated in the Social Work Club; Carissa Riccio, a junior majoring in accounting, participated in the Accounting Society; Goy Voladate, a sophomore majoring in biology, participated in the Yoga Club; and Ashley Wong, a junior majoring in sport and leisure management, participated in the Fencing Club.
• Christopher Flanagan, a junior majoring in civil engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), completed an intense, hands-on research project in New Zealand. The project was titled “Prospects for Hydrogen Fuel in the Early Future.”
• Kevin Iott is a member of the Xavier High School FIRST Robotics Team #4557 “FullMetal Falcons,” finalists in the Regional Competition and Entrepreneurship Award winners.
• Griffin Kulp starred in Dean College’s production of In the Heights.
• North Haven Middle School 8th Grade South Central Area Superintendents Association (SCASA) Award-Winners: Hannah Fruin and William Ryan.
• Ian O’Connor matriculated at Ashland University and will receive the President’s Scholarship for $11,000 annually.
• Mary Sarah Olson received a Sister Antonine Signorelli, ASCJ Memorial Scholarship at Sacred Heart Academy.
• Michael Perrone, a junior majoring in computer science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), completed an intense, hands-on research project in Venice. The project was titled “Venetian Open Data.”
• James Redman was initiated into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society at Nazareth College.
• Sacred Heart Academy Mother/Daughter Legacies: Shannon Rhone, an incoming freshman and the daughter of Karen Gardiner Rhone (’79), and Molly Scarpa, an incoming freshman and the daughter of Kelly Miller Scarpa (’90).

• State Representative Dave Yaccarino (R-87) joined 53 other Legislators on the Honor Roll of State Park and Forest Adopters by adopting Quinnipiac River State Park in North Haven. Yaccarino represents the 87th district covering North Haven.
