Winter temperatures have been at a record low, which can easily translate into high energy bills. If you’re worrying how this is impacting your wallet, the Chester Energy Team reminds you to check into the Home Energy Solutions (HES) program, supported by Energize Connecticut. You make an appointment for an energy assessment, which will cost under $100 (lower income households pay less). A licensed contractor will perform an energy assessment, make on-the-spot improvements, including caulking and sealing of critical air leaks (they even replace your incandescent light bulbs with the new energy-efficient bulbs), and, if you’re eligible, will provide rebates on insulation and more.  All the details are at www.energizect.com, Home Energy Solutions.
