Be Aware Cars Are Getting Stolen

In the past week two cars were stolen in the immediate Chester area (Deep River and Essex) and a third was stolen from the Durham/Middlefield area. Trooper Matt Ewing is encouraging everyone to remove keys from cars when they are not occupied, even if you are just running in for coffee, and lock vehicles even when they are in your own driveway. He is also urging residents to place valuables that are left in cars, in safe, discreet locations.
