According to North Haven Police,  Sackett Point Road between State Street and Universal Drive was closed briefly due to a train derailment in the area. It is now open for through traffic. Railroad staff is on the scene and have cleared the train from the roadway crossing. There will be a large presence in the area, and increased traffic is expected for the next several hours. No information is available at this time on any injuries but an investigation is underway.
