Boat Vote Set for Tuesday

Will the Town of Old Saybrook's voters approve spending up to $361,570 for a new police boat when 75 percent of the cost, $271,177, will be paid back by a federal Port Security grant?

That question will be decided next Tues., Feb. 24, in a Town-wide referendum. The polls will be open from 12 Noon to 8 p.m. and voting will take place at the Old Saybrook High School gymnasium. Absentee ballots are also available from the Old Saybrook Town Clerk's office during regular office hours for qualified electors.
