02/16/2015 11:00 PMAs snow and more snow covers the ground, are you looking for something to outside this weekend? As noted at the Branford Land Trust (BLT) website – “lots of snow means lots of tracks!” This Saturday, take part in the BLT-sponsored Winter Animal Tracking Class.
The class will take place in Branford's great outdoors on Sat. Feb. 21 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at the Lake Saltonstall preserve. Led by BLT’s Tom Cleveland and Chris Woerner, participants will learn to recognize animal footprints and other signs showing critters have passed through.
Class participants are asked to meet up at the Regional Water Authority parking lot on the north side of Hosely Avenue in Branford (turn off Brushy Plain Road onto Hosely Avenue; lot is 0.3 miles in).
In case of bad weather, the class will take place on Sun. Feb. 22. Questions? Call (203) 415-1571 or visit www.branfordlandtrust.org
