12/19/2014 11:00 PMA town meeting will be held on Monday, January 12
th
at 7 p.m. at the PolsonMiddle School auditorium to vote on spending $472,000 to improve school security at the town’s public schools.
The town is hoping to have 30%, or $141,000 of the cost reimbursed by state grants. The school security includes expanding its security camera program to monitor the schools, and to vastly upgrade the phone systems.
School officials stated that the primary project has to do with an expansive security camera program to monitor the schools.
The second phase of the plan is to upgrade the phone systems in the classrooms from the older intercom systems currently installed.
