12/06/2014 11:00 PMA man was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Boston Post Road/Route 1 in Guilford late Saturday afternoon.
The man was crossing the street from the Guilford Plaza around 5:30 p.m. when he was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound. He was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
Police believe that weather conditions contributed to the accident. Boston Post Road/Route 1 was closed for several hours between Goose Lane and State Street while police investigated the crash.
