 The Wallingford Emergency Shelter provides temporary housing and warm meals during the winter months for people from Wallingford and surrounding towns to those who are in a state of emergency as the result of a crisis situation or extreme difficulty.  These include but are not limited to fire, severe weather conditions, loss of job, disability which causes them to be incapable of supporting themselves, spousal abuse or eviction.

THEY NEED THE QCHAMBER'S HELP (and we won't even ask you to throw ice on your head)!  The Shelter is hoping to raise $50,000 as part of a challenge from Ulbrich Steel.  For every dollar they raise up to $50K, Ulbrich will match 100%!  If they achieve their goal, they will have raised $100K, which will allow them to begin construction on 2 additional family units to assist homeless families in our community.  It is easy to donate.
