A drive-thru window has been approved by zoning officials to a yet-to-be named restaurant in the 139,000-square-foot “Guilford Commons.’’

DDR has planned for the shopping complex at the “rock pile’’ site to open its doors in fall of 2015 and has already started preliminary construction work at the site.

First Selectman Joseph Mazza has repeatedly stated that while the developer has yet to name who would be in the shopping complex, developers often seek approvals, first, to help line up potential property renters.
