09/01/2014 12:00 AMA ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Essex Civic Campus, tennis court and playscape will be held on Wednesday, September 10, at 5 p.m. at the Town Hall.
Essex Town staff and elected officials will be on hand to celebrate, and there will be several special programs going on such as; Tennis Court Showcase, with a youth clinic, adults doubles play, and fastest serve contest. In addition, there will be interactive children’s entertainment, music, Tennis Pro Gary Ribchinsky and more.
The Civic Campus project was intended to enhance the campus feel of the town hall, the library, and the park, as well as to replace the playscape, the tennis courts and the parking lot. All of which have been completed. In addition, there have been improvements and enhancements made to the crosswalks, improving pedestrian safety. Additional work included a major facelift to the front of the town hall.
