Cars Take Visitors Back in Time
Although the weather was a little less than ideal for the 36
th
Annual Time Machine Antique Car Show, which was held on Sunday, July 27, at the Guilford Fairgrounds, car enthusiasts from all over New England still showed up to show off their unique vehicles, and visitors of all ages were thrilled.
From Pintos to Porsches, hoods were open and shining chrome engines were on display for all to admire. White walled tires, dressed dignified, pristinely manicured cars of yesteryear, while in another direction, jacked up pick-up trucks, with over sized tires, perfect for mud boggin, showed off their prowess. There was something there for everyone, even a Stanley Steamer.
A large portion of the proceeds from this annual event were donated to charities such as; Wounded Warriors, Friends of Harkness State Park, Association for Pancreatic Cancer, Food Share of Bloomfield, Connecticut Women Prisoners Resettlement, and Boy Scout Troops throughout Connecticut.
