Annual Christmas Tree, Wreath Sale Kicks Off

Black Friday, Nov. 29, marks the start of the Friends of Hammonasset's 16th Annual Christmas Tree Sale. The sale features a variety of fresh cut, Connecticut grown trees available for purchase on Route 1 in Madison just east of the Hammonasset Beach State Park entrance. The sale runs daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m and continues until all trees are sold.

Volunteers will be there rain or shine (or snow). The prices for these beautiful evergreens range from $35.00 to $55.00. Roping (in 25 yards lengths), wreaths, and poinsettias are available as well. Members Friends of Hammonasset receive a $5 discount on any tree purchase. Proceeds are used to support activities at Meigs Point Nature Center and other Park projects.
