Guilford Gobble

To raise money to fund upcoming events for the celebration of Guilford’s 375

th

Anniversary, a very special Guilford Gobble Live and Silent Auction will be held on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Guilford Yacht Club. With a full array of entertainment for the evening, including music by John “Cadillac” Seville, dancing and a cash bar, the silent and live auction event promises fun for everyone.

Some of the fantastic items that will be auctioned off include a kayak, hand crafted fine art, two, one year memberships to the YMCA, two tickets to the U.S. Open, restaurant gift certificates, an array of gift baskets, a Grass Island cruise and an absolutely beautiful, handmade, queen sized, pillow top quilt that took the sewing expertise of nine Guilford women.

All proceeds from the event will go to fund the five upcoming celebratory, signature events the 375

th

Anniversary Committee has planned, which will be kicking off on Dec. 31, with the Guilford Generations Jubilee. Other events include a Crystal Ball on March 29, Guilford and the Civil War on May 31, A Covenant Trail Weekend, June 6-8, and a Fife and Drum Muster on Oct. 1.

Tickets for the Guilford Gobble silent and live auction are $25 per person; they can be purchased at www.guilord375.org, or at the selectman’s office at the town hall, or the chamber of commerce office.
