ESSEX -- The Essex Republican Town Committee is sponsoring another program in its Speakers Series discussing important topics of the day. On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the topic will be "Unfunded Mandates and Their Effect on Education and Budgets." The speakers will be Dr. Ruth Levy, superintendent of schools for Region 4, and Lon Seidman, chair of the Essex Board of Education.

The program is at 7 p.m. at the John Winthrop Middle School. It is free and open to the public.
