11/07/2013 11:00 PMNext Wednesday, Nov. 13, Calvin Leete Elementary hosts a bone marrow drive to raise leukemia awareness and get as many people as possible on the national bone marrow registry. Leete 4th grader Moira McGovern was diagnosed with early tocell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia last year and the lack of available donors brought to her families' attention the real need for registrants.The event takes place on Nov. 13 at Calvin Leete Elementary, 280 South Union Street, Guilford from 2 to 6 p.m. The Guilford High School Jazz Band will perform at 2:30 p.m. and there will be baked goods and T-shirts for sale to raise money for research.
