Veterans, Troops: Register by Nov. 1 for Free Patriotic Dinner

Guilford veterans and troops will be honored Nov. 8 at the 12th Annual Patriotic Dinner, co-sponsored by Guilford Interfaith Ministries (GIM) and Guilford Parks and Recreation, featuring vegetable or meat lasagna from Chef Larry Santamaria, (seen here at center, front, with some Patriotic Dinner volunteers).

In recognition of Veterans' Day, Guilford veterans and troops will be honored Nov. 8 at the 12th Annual Lasagna Dinner, sponsored by Guilford Interfaith Ministries (GIM).

Right now, GIM is putting out the call for the Nov. 1 deadline for reservations from those who have served or are serving with the U.S. Armed Forces. Each will be an honored guest and receive a free ticket to the Patriotic Dinner at the Guilford Community Center on Fri. Nov. 8, 5 - 7p.m. Simply call (203) 453-8359 before Nov. 1 to make a reservation with GIM.

Of course, friends, family and fans of our soldiers are also encouraged to join the dinner celebration, which features a choice of Chef Larry Santamaria's famous vegetable or meat lasagna. Tickets (adults, $10; children under 10, $6) are available at Guilford Community Center, 32 Church St. and the GIM office, 310 State St.

Groups can be seated together if group seating is requested at the time of ticket purchase. All proceeds from the Patriotic Dinner will benefit Guilford Meals on Wheels, a community service program of GIM and the Town of Guilford.
