To Appeal Your Motor Vehicle Assessment in Essex

The Essex  Board of Assessment Appeals will hear appeals of motor vehicle assessments on the 2012 Grand List -- those were the tax bills residents received in July -- and on the 2011 Supplemental List, which were the bills residents received in January of 2013. Chair Anne J. Dougherty said hearings will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the assessor's office at Essex Town Hall, 29 West Avenue. No appointment is necessary.
