It's time to have Rex put on the ritz—the eighth annual Parade of Pooches dog show is on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. on the Madison Green. Judging ends at 10 a.m.
Ribbons will be awarded in breeds for longest and shortest tails and ears, biggest and smallest paws, tallest and shortest dogs, and oldest and youngest dogs. Breed winners will go to Best in Show for another round of ribbons. The event also includes best costume, best pet trick, and “owner who most looks like me” contests.
The entry fee is $8 per dog. Dogs must be leashed. All dogs will be awarded a ribbon. Proceeds benefit the Scranton Memorial Library. For more information, call the library at 203-245-7365.
