Mass. Woman Sentenced for Crash that Killed Local Woman
A Massachusetts woman has been sentenced to six years in prison for a 100 mph drunken driving crash in Connecticut that killed another woman and critically injured a man in 2011.
Twenty-eight-year-old Dina Senibaldi of Everett, Mass., was sentenced for manslaughter, assault and DUI Thursday in New London Superior Court. The accident on Interstate 395 in Waterford killed 45-year-old Lisa Delprete of North Haven, Conn., and injured Edmund Davis of New Haven.
The Day of New London reports (http://bit.ly/13WccS1 ) that Senibaldi apologized Thursday and asked Delprete's family for forgiveness. She pleaded no contest to the charges in June.
Police say Senibaldi's car crashed into an SUV driven by Davis. Delprete was a passenger in the SUV, which rolled over several times.
Davis needed several surgeries for multiple injuries.
