Find 'Terninology' at Whitfield Museum Aug. 7
What's a roseate? When birds are the predators of other birds are they called cannibals? What makes Faulkner's Island such a great destination for terns? Meet wildlife biologists and interns from the United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USF&WS) and find out the answers to these questions and many more during the special program, Terninology: Birds on Faulkner's Island, at the Henry Whitfield State Museum on Wednesday, August 7 from 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm.
The program will be presented in the museum's education building, a late 19th century barn, which, in August 2013, features the exhibit, Bicentennial Beacon: Faulkner's Island Lighthouse.
Reservations are not required for the program, Terninology: Birds on Faulkner's Island, or the exhibit, Bicentennial Beacon: Faulkner's Island Lighthouse. Admission to the program and the exhibit is included in the regular museum admission price.
