weekend as Madison enjoys its parade, fireworks and concert.
Parade
The town’s annual Independence Day Parade will be held Thursday, beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will start from Samson Rock Drive and proceed west on Boston Post Road (Route 1) to West Wharf Road and will end in the Surf Club. The parade will require road closures. Residents and motorists should expect traffic delays along the parade route between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Affected areas will include Boston Post Road and all intersecting roads between Wall Street at Samson Rock Drive and West Wharf Road, including:

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during the parade. Residents and visitors requiring access to Middle Beach Road, or Madison Beach Hotel should use East Wharf Road to access those areas during the parade. There will be no public access to the Surf Club or to the Madison Country Club (via West Wharf Road) during the parade.
Fireworks
The annual fireworks display will be held Thursday at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the Madison Surf Club. Due to the large number of people who are expected at the event, everyone is encouraged to arrive early. There will be traffic delays, road closures and parking restrictions.

Public transportation and a shuttle service will be available. Shuttle service will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will run continuously throughout the evening. Shuttle service pickup locations include:

After the fireworks, shuttle service will return commuters to these locations and will run until all potential passengers are accommodated.
Concert
The Concert on the Green will be held Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. with the Youth Symphony. Again, because a large number of people are expected to attend, everyone is encouraged to arrive early. Expect traffic delays and parking restrictions. The Concert on the Green is an alcohol-free event. No alcohol is allowed on the Green. There will be no parking signs posted in the area including Copse Road from Bradley Road to Britton Lane.
