Volunteer Services Center to be Named for Andriole
In honor of over 44 years of service the town and assisting those in need, Branford’s Volunteer Services Center will now be known as the Patricia Andriole Volunteer Services Center.
The fitting tribute to Andriole was decided with a unanimous vote of the Board of Selectman on May 15.
“I’m very humbled,” Andriole told The Sound this morning. “To have that in a town that I love, with people that I love, is a huge honor.”
Of her many accomplishments and contributions to Branford, Andriole says, “…everything I seem to be credited with couldn’t have been done without the involvement of so many others. I have a lot of help – it’s not done alone.”
Andriole will retire on July 12 from her position as Branford Counseling Center director. A retirement dinner in her honor will be held at Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club on Sunday, June 2 at 4:30 p.m.
Read Andriole’s "Person of the Week" story coming May 23 in The Sound. Andriole talks about her Branford experiences as a mom, volunteer, civic leader and her work to help develop programs and services of Branford Counseling Center.
