04/26/2013 12:00 AMA group of East Haven residents is planning a shore clean-up on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The goal is to clean up debris left by Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Irene.
"The outpouring of support for this effort has been amazing. We have people of all ages excited to tackle this project," East Haven resident and organizer Joe Santino said in a press release. "We invite everyone who wants to get involved to meet us at the Cosey Beach Avenue Walkway."
Santino requests that volunteers bring bags, gloves, and rakes. Volunteers should meet at tents at Cosey Beach.
