The discussion, which is open to the public, will be Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at tthe E.C. Scranton Library. Then, on Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at the E.C. Scranton Library, meet the author, Allison Zmuda.
Scarice is inviting the community to take part in the conversation about how to prepare students for the world in which they will live after graduation, and explore the type of education children need and deserve. At the Board of Education's request, the superintendent has been leading the effort to develop a new vision and mission statement for the school district.
Allison Zmunda began her career as a public school teacher in Newtown. She is the author of six books on education and also hosts the web-based radio show "Insider, Outsider."
