11/14/2012 11:00 PMA Guilford man was arrested on Wednesday after police say he used a computer to entice a child to engage in sexual activity.
Edwin Nealon, 21, of Leetes Island Road, had been unnder investgation by Guilford'S Detective Unit since October 2012 when he allegedly contacted someone he believed to be a 15 year-old female via the internet. Based on information gathered during the investigation police determined that Nealon intended to meet the child in Guilford Wednesday.
Police set up surveillance in the area and arrested Nealon when he arrived. He was charged with attempted use of a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, attempted risk of injury/impairing the morals of children, ad interfering with a police officer.
Nealon was processed ad released on a $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court in New Haven on Nov. 27.
