11/13/2012 11:00 PMKidz Konnection, a non-profit youth theater company in Clinton, recently launched a new division of actors called the Shoreline Actors Collective. To kick off this new group, the non-profit is teaming up with Chamard Vineyards this weekend to provide entertainment for the whole town.
Two performances of the production called “Freeze Tag” will be held at the vineyard’s barn on Friday night from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. Wine and dinner will be sold throughout the performances.
Founder of Kidz Konnection Laura Attanasio is thankful of the support from Chamard and said in a recent press release ““We hope to share with Clinton and our surrounding communities this valuable and delightful farm winery, so beautifully preserved and dedicated to celebrating our local gastronomy, right in our back yards; and to present quality mature theater to the community in an effort to promote arts education for young people in the area. What a great thing! A place, close to home that offers great theater over a glass of locally made wine and delicious food made from farm fresh ingredients.”
She said if all goes well, the Kidz Konnection founder is hoping to continue a partnership with Chamard Vineyards, possibly offering dinner and theater in the new Chamard Bistro.
Tickets are $25 and will go towards advancing programs for the non-profit. Call Attanasio for more information at (860) 227-2363.
