10/04/2012 12:00 AMEast Haven Police responded to Dunkin Donuts, 320 Main Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 3 around 6:27 a.m. after receiving word of a reported purse snatching.
According to police, a woman in her 70s reported that upon exiting her vehicle in the parking lot, a white male near her vehicle spoke to her briefly, then approached her, and grabbed her purse out of her hand. The suspect ran south on Taylor avenue.
The man is described as approximately 6-feet tall, wearing a ball cap and blue jeans. Police recovered a shirt and a ball cap on a nearby street believed to be related to this incident.
