08/14/2012 10:00 AMPete’s Hearth & Home, established in 1934, will be closing the doors forever in a few months. Lou Grenon, owner since 1974, has announced that he will be retiring and will sell off the entire inventory at tremendous savings to the public.
Pete’s has been in continuous operation for over 78 years and has sold quality products at competitive prices to communities along the shoreline. The primary departments have been alternative energy sources , such as wood and gas stoves, gas log sets, fireplace accessories, as well as outdoor and patio furniture.
Grenon says that the store carries some of the best brands in each department, such as Harman, Vermont Castings, Regency, Hearthstone, Telescope, Lloyd Flanders, Kettler and Tropitone. In addition there are fireplace enclosures and accessories as well as replacement cushions, umbrellas, hammocks and much more.
“Stove and fireplace accessories are rarely if ever on sale, and because we sell at less than list prices every day, the store closing sale prices will allow our customers to save hundreds of dollars on most items," said Grenon.
Delivery and installation services will be provided during the sale that will start on Thursday, Aug. 23.
Pete’s Hearth & Home is located in the Sachem Square Plaza, 934 Boston Post Road in Guilford. The expanded store hours will be Monday to Friday 10 a.m to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
