08/04/2012 12:00 AMMike Olt's second appearance with the Rangers was similar to his first in that he contributed to a win, but the Aug. 4 contest at Kansas City went even better as Olt notched his first two Major League RBI in a 4-2 Texas triumph.
After grounding out in the third inning, Olt hit a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Mike Napoli in the fourth to make it 3-0 in favor of the Rangers.
Then after the Royals cut it to 3-2, Olt's two-out single to center brought home Michael Young with a key insurance run in the sixth. That hit ended the night for Kansas City starter Will Smith.
Previously, during the Royals' rally in the fifth inning, Olt fielded Alcides Escobar's grounder and stepped on first base for the third out to strand a runner on second.
Olt, who batted ninth, is now 2-for-5 for the first-place Rangers (63-43), sporting a batting average of .400
