07/31/2012 06:00 PMWith Joseph Onofrio retiring next month as Old Saybrook’s superintendent of schools, the Board of Education decided to appoint Heston Sutman to serve as the district’s Interim Superintendent for the 2012-13 school year. Sutman is currently the district’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Current middle school associate principal Ms. Mandy Ryan will fill in Sutman’s role, being appointed to serve as interim director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the 2012-13 school year. The two appointments were announced late on July 27 by Board of Education Chairman Mario Gaboury.
