Madison Man Charged with Shooting at Bar Worker
A Madison man was taken into custody and arrested following a fight with a fellow patron at Donahues’ Restaurant/Bar that ended with the man firing a weapon in the direction of a restaurant employee.
Police report that Michael Foy, 24, of 949 Boston Post Road, was involved in an altercation with other patrons. After restaurant employees intervened, Foy left the establishment, obtained a firearm from his vehicle, and fired a shot in the direction of a restaurant employee.
Foy subsequently fled the scene and was located a short time later by Madison Police officers. Foy was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered by police. He was charged with first degree criminal attempt to commit assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, carrying a gun without a permit, possession of a loaded firearm while under the influence, weapons in a motor vehicle, first degree reckless endangerment, and breach of peace.
Foy is currently being held at Madison Police Headquarters on a $200,000 bond. Minor injuries were reported.
