Police Seek Witnesses in Car vs. Pedestrian Incident

Old Saybrook Police are looking for anyone who witnessed a car that reportedly struck a pedestrian on Route 1 near Main Street on Friday, June 1.

Police recieved multiple reports of the incident around 10:35 p.m. and police, fire, and EMS units responded to the scene.

Emergency medical care was provided to an adult male victim. The victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

The investigation remains active. No enforcement action has been taken.
