Westbrook Voters Adopt Budget

In light turn-out, Westbrook voters on May 24 expressed support for the town's direction, approving a $26.4 million town and schools budget by a margin of three to one. The final vote count was 230 votes cast in favor of the budget compared to 80 votes against it. The final tally include 12 absentee ballots and 10 ballots cast by property owners eligible to vote because they own assessed property of more than $1,000 in assessed value.
