03/30/2012 12:00 AMAt last week’s selectmen’s meeting, the Westbrook Board of Selectmen appointed two new part-time town constables, Kenneth McNamara and Karen Reilly, to the town’s force. The part-time constables work under the direction of State Resident Trooper Rob Hart but the constables are town employees.
With one constable, Ben Quinones, out on paid administrative leave and another constable on medical leave, Trooper Hart had asked the selectmen to support his request to fill open constable slots and they agreed. The new constables will be paid at a rate of $23.53 per hour.
