Tweed Authority to Hold Public Meeting on Noise
A Tweed Airport noise study will be the subject of a public information meeting held on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Haven Senior Center on 91 Taylor Avenue. The Tweed New Haven Airport Authority is hosting the meeting and is encouraging local residents to attend—especially those who live near the airport.
The Airport Authority hired consulting firm Wyle, a national authority on noise studies, to conduct this study. Wyle is being assisted with the project by Hartford-based planning firm Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. The Federal Aviation Administration is funding the study.
The study is expected to be completed by late summer/early fall 2012. Residents can track its progress at www.tweedupdate.com.
