07/29/2011 12:00 AMThe East Haven Fire Department was busy last month, fighting three house fires in close proximity. The question of whether they are also connected through the work of an arsonist has not yet been answered.
"It's still under investigation," said East Haven Fire Marshal Anthony Moscato on July 29. "At this point, we're working on it with the state fire marshal and the police department."
The first of the three fires was on July 5 on Charnes Drive. The next fire was on July 20 on Benjamin Road, and the third was on July 26 on Garry Drive.
Moscato said he was hopeful that investigators would conclude their work soon.
