In the July 21 Issue: Town Hall Renovation Nearly Complete

DEEP RIVER – With the recent approval of a $438,000 bid to install new heating, cooling and ventilation systems in the town hall, renovations to that historic building are nearly complete, First Selectman Dick Smith said.
"We have been discussing the town hall for 13, 14, 15 years now. We've talked about an annex, an addition, we've spent thousands of dollars on architects' fees, but those proposals just didn't happen. Voters decided they did not want those changes," Smith said.
