In the July 7 Issue: Region 4 School Harnessing Sun's Power

DEEP RIVER – It seems the perfect fit – a large flat school roof and a new technology that collects sunlight and converts it to electricity. By the end of this month, the Region 4 school district expects to have its photovoltaic solar system up and running.
It is a technology that makes use of John Winthrop Middle School's roof, and is expected to provide 10 to 15 percent of the school's electricity this year, next year and in decades to come.
