Town Wide Revaluation Underway, Income and Expense Forms Due June 1
eQuality Valuation Services has been contracted to assist in conducting the revaluation for the Oct. 1 Grand List. Under the supervision of the assessor, this company will collect and analyze information regarding all properties in town.
The last of the data mailers for condominium properties have been mailed to property owners relative to information regarding unit interiors. These should be reviewed for any discrepancies listed, and re-mailed to eQuality Valuation Services upon receipt and completion.
Also, new property owners will be receiving sales verification forms that should be completed and re-mailed as well. This is an important step in the process of determining fair market values in town.
In addition, interior inspections for commercial and industrial properties will continue in all areas of town. Income and expense forms have been mailed to commercial, industrial and other income producing property owners. The forms must be completed and returned to the Office of the Assessor, 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512, no later than June 1 in order to avoid penalties.
If residents have any questions, they should contact Town Assessor Michael J. Milici at 203-468-3996.
