Westbrook's Annual Guinness Stew Dinner This Weekend
Westbrook's 8th Annual Guinness Stew Dinner will be held this Sunday, March 13 at the Westbrook Firehouse—doors will be open at 2 p.m.
The event celebrates St. Patrick's Day with an authentic Irish dinner prepared by Ireland native Dave Gaffney and a performance by local step dancers.
Invited guests include; State Senator Richard Blumenthal, Representative Joe Courtney, Governor Dannel Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, Attorney General George Jepson, Comptroller Kevin Lembo, State Senator Eileen Daily, and State Representative Jim Crawford.
The event is sponsored by the Westbrook Democratic Town Committee. Tickets are $12 per person ($6 for children ages 3 to 12) and are available from any Town Committee member, or can be reserved by calling (860)-399-9576 and leaving a message. This is a repeat of last year's highly successful event and is expected to be a sell out—advance ticket purchase is recommended.
