North Haven Fire Asks For Help Restoring Hydrants
Chief Vincent Landisio and the North Haven Fire Department is requesting help from residents identifying fire hydrants that may have been damaged by severe weather this winter.
Firefighters, both career and volunteer, have worked tirelessly attempting to locate and shovel out all hydrants in town—greater than normal snowfall levels this year buried most of them. Unfortunately, many of the uncovered hydrants were found to be damaged, likely due to snow removal efforts of public and private entities.
North Haven Fire is asking for residents who notice deficient or damaged hydrants to "adopt a hydrant" and kindly notify the Fire Headquarters for proper inspection and restoration as soon as possible.
If you identify a damaged fire hydrant please report its location to Fire Headquarters at (203) 239-5321 ext. 725.
