Boy Scouts Host 2nd Annual Winter Carnival

This past Saturday, Boy Scout Troop 55 hosted its 2nd Annual Winter Carnival at The Morgan School.

From noon to 4 p.m., the cafeteria was open for families to come and participate in carnival-like activities including face painting, karaoke, bean bag tic-tac-toe, and win a goldfish toss.

According to Donna Gerte, Administrative Chair for the Troop, the carnival was designed for kids up to 10 years of age, "but if you're open to have fun, you can," she said.

Last year, the boys hosted the carnival to raise money for a 50 mile canoe trip. This year, admitance was $5 and the proceeds will go to a chairty of the boys' choice.

"I'm sure they'll want to see it go someplace local [so they can] see the fruits of their labor," Gerte said.
