06/21/2010 12:00 AMOn June 12, the East Haven Police Department arrested Andrew Ciaccio, 25, of 140 Thompson Street, Apt. 19, East Haven, and Richard Baldino, 22, of 4 Legend Lane, East Haven, on numerous narcotic charges.
At approximately 5:21 p.m. on June 12, Andrew Ciaccio (driver) and Richard Baldino (passenger) were stopped by East Haven Police in a motor vehicle stop while traveling down Foxon Road.
During the stop, officers located two plastic sandwich bags containing Oxycodone pills (150 total pills combined). Ciaccio was also found to be in possession of $2,778. Baldino was found to be in possession of ten Oxycodone pills. Both Ciaccio and Baldino were placed under arrest.
A search warrant was obtained for Ciaccio’s residence. During the search, officers located a total of 1,227 pills (1,216 Oxycodone pills and 11 Suboxone pills), $40, two-way radios, and packaging material.
All items located during the traffic stop and the search of the residence were seized including Ciacco’s 2002 Lincoln LS.The tTotal number of pills seized between the stop and the search of the residence was 1,387 and total amount of money seized was $2,818.
Both Ciaccio and Baldino recieved multiple counts of narcotics charges and Ciaccio was also charged with operating a drug factory among several other motor vehicle charges. Ciaccio was held on $500,000 bond and Baldino was held on $350,000 bond.
Both Ciaccio and Baldino were arraigned in court on June 14.
