Dr. Vajinder Toor to Be Laid to Rest

In loving memory of Dr. Vajinder Toor who was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and friend. A dedicated, honest and hardworking physician. He was highly regarded by his patients who referred to him more as a friend since he would spend as long as needed by his patients. Dr. Vajinder Toor completed his medical studies in India and moved to the US to pursue his love of medicine and to help people in 2004. He earned a residency position in 2005 in New York based upon his qualifications and previous work history. Based upon his hard work during residency he was selected as chief resident during his final year at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. After completing his residency he practices as a Hospitalist in Austin, TX for a year. There he touched the lives of innumerable people who described him as a person with a "golden heart". In July 2009 he left Texas to follow his dream of a fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was a very loving father to his son and was ecstatic about the arrival of a new baby girl. He used to say that life was perfect. Despite his busy schedule he would spend as much time as he could with his family. His untimely death has left a deep void in the lives of all the people who loved him, especially his little son and pregnant wife. It was his hard work and perseverance that led him to his successful position in life, and he will be greatly missed by his parents, brother and everyone he touched. He is survived by his beloved wife Parneeta Sidhu, who is pregnant with his daughter, his son Angad Toor, his parents, Sohan Singh Toor and Barsan Jit Kaur of India, and his brother Tajinder Pal Singh Toor of India.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday from 2 – 6 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford. A private funeral service will be held Monday morning at Evergreen Crematory Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Vajinder Toor Memorial Fund, through the funeral home. See online memorial @ www.wsclancy.com.
