Old Saybrook police responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Elm Street at 7:14 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 7 that closed the road north of Interstate 95. Traffic was diverted onto Connally Drive. The vehicle was found on its roof and the driver, an unidentified youth, was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for minor injuries. According to police, the vehicle struck a telephone pole that supported electrical, phone and cable lines.
